About The Position

The Planned Maintenance Technician works independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. The role is based in Reno, Nevada, and includes extensive daily local field travel in a company vehicle. The technician performs equipment maintenance and service, completes required documentation, follows safety guidelines, and communicates with customers.

Requirements

Technical aptitude.
Mechanical inclination and familiarity with basic hand tool operation.
Automotive lubrication and oil change experience.
Ability to perform physical work and reason through and resolve technical problems.
Willingness to get hands dirty, work up a sweat, and interact with internal and external customers to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of gas and/or diesel-powered generators and air compressors.

Responsibilities

Perform service, maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment, including oil and filter changes and fluid checks and top-offs on power generators, diesel generators, and/or compressors in the shop or at customer sites.
Travel extensively within the local area each day to work in the field using a company vehicle.
Perform preventive and planned maintenance as directed by the supervisor, following safety guidelines and maintaining work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs.
Complete paperwork accurately and on time, including expense reports, work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs; use relevant computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping.
Complete customer site visit checks and maintain appropriate badging for site access.
Communicate confidently with customers.
