Planned Maintenance Tech
About The Position
The Planned Maintenance Tech works independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. This role supports natural gas solutions at a data center customer site in South Valley, Reno, Nevada, and involves extensive daily local travel in a company vehicle. The technician performs equipment service, cleaning, and planned maintenance; completes records and paperwork; and conducts customer site checks while maintaining required site access badges. The role requires customer communication, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physical work while troubleshooting technical problems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physical work and think through and resolve technical problems.
- Willingness to get hands dirty, work up a sweat, and interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequent sitting or standing and repetitive tasks, and bending, reaching, carrying, or lifting objects typically weighing less than 75 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Technical aptitude.
- Knowledge of gas- and/or diesel-powered generators and air compressors.
- Mechanical inclination and familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Automotive lubrication and oil-change experience.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and clean equipment, including performing oil and filter changes and checking and topping off fluids on power generators, diesel generators, and/or compressors.
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance as directed by the supervisor, following safety guidelines.
- Work in the field and travel locally each day in a company vehicle to customer sites.
- Complete expense reports, work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs accurately and on time, including required data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software.
- Complete customer site visit checks and maintain appropriate badging for site access.
- Communicate confidently with customers.
- Comply with Aggreko’s QHSE policies, procedures, objectives, applicable local laws, and assigned QHSE training requirements.
