Planned Maintenance Tech
About The Position
The Planned Maintenance Tech works both independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. This role supports natural gas solutions at the South Valley data center customer site in Reno, Nevada. The position involves daily local travel in a company vehicle and servicing power generators, diesel generators, and/or compressors. The employee is expected to maintain accurate records, follow safety requirements, and communicate confidently with customers. The role may require work after regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tool operation.
- Automotive lubrication and oil change experience.
- Ability to perform physical work and think through and resolve technical problems.
- Willingness to get hands dirty, work up a sweat, and interact with internal and external customers to deliver solutions.
- Ability to carry or lift objects typically weighing less than 75 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of gas and/or diesel-powered generators and air compressors.
- Technical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance checks, and cleaning of equipment, including oil and filter changes and fluid checks and top-offs on power generators, diesel generators, and/or compressors.
- Work in the field and travel locally each day in a company vehicle.
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance as directed by the supervisor, following safety guidelines and maintaining work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly, including expense reports, work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs; use relevant computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping.
- Complete customer site visit checks and maintain appropriate badging for site access.
- Communicate confidently with customers.
- Comply with Aggreko QHSE policies, procedures, objectives, and applicable local legislation and laws, and complete assigned QHSE training on time.
