About The Position

The Group Benefits Administration Plan Specialist provides a positive Client experience by completing the successful set- up and revisions of group plans by inputting data on various systems. Working in a production-oriented environment, this role demands strong technical skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, an extreme focus on detail and quality, and completing work by necessary deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years experience working in a production-oriented environment where high-quality data entry was required
  • Bilingual in both English and French
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Group benefits and familiarity with common plan designs
  • Knowledge of Plan administration systems and their interdependencies
  • An understanding of the sales office distribution network, sales practices and procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours during periods peak volumes

Responsibilities

  • Process revisions within established service standards (accuracy & timeliness)
  • Set up and maintain plan coding on various systems
  • Promptly respond to inquiries from internal business partners, and Clients
  • Interpret plan design change requests; seeking clarification as necessary
  • Understand, analyze and make recommendations on system setups that support customer requirements
  • Partner with Service Representatives and Implementation Specialists to clarify plan design so that system setup is efficient and accurate
  • Manage work priorities in a multifunctional environment
  • Investigate and resolve escalated issues or complaints
  • Assess and negotiate target dates to meet customer expectations; demonstrate sensitivity to customer's business needs
  • Participate in business unit projects as requested
