Requirements

  • Minimum three years in Farmers service operations or relevant industry experience required.
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Understanding of underwriting procedures and guidelines
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Possesses strong product knowledge.
  • Understanding of underwriting procedures and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes researches and develops process improvements, underwriting guidelines and techniques which are likely to be implemented across the operation.
  • Responsible for the risk review, proper rate classification and underwriting in all lines on risks that are complex or beyond the established guidelines and published processes.
  • Underwrites complex risks for personal lines, operating outside established guidelines and published processes and communicates decisions to agents or internal partners.
  • Responsible for the risk review, proper rate classification and underwriting on risks that are complex or beyond the established guidelines and published processes.
  • Analyze and research existing and new processes which are congruent to existing philosophy or identify new philosophy recommendations.
  • Develops process improvements, underwriting guidelines and techniques which may be implemented across the operation.
  • Ensures appropriate rate classification of risk at renewal or new business.
  • Acts as consultant to internal business partners in matters requiring underwriting judgment operating outside of established guidelines and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
