About The Position

Axis Insurance Managers Inc. is seeking an Account Executive for their Private Client division. This role involves developing and implementing marketing strategies to grow and manage a Personal insurance book of business, maintaining a sales pipeline, and developing new business opportunities. The Account Executive will ensure clients have necessary coverage, handle quoting and binding, and cross-sell/up-sell additional coverage. The position requires selling brokerage services to meet target revenue and activity quotas, conducting regular client review meetings, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and underwriters. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining relationships with insurers for favorable pricing and claims handling, attending industry functions to build networks, preparing an annual business plan, and participating in team meetings and networking events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ Personal insurance experience
  • General Insurance Agent Level 2 license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia or equivalent license in the individual’s province of residence, with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license

Nice To Haves

  • CAIB, CIP, CRM or other insurance designations considered an asset
  • Post Secondary Degree considered an asset
  • Experience using EPIC broker management system an asset

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a marketing strategy to grow and manage a Personal insurance book of business, maintaining a sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Ensuring clients have the necessary coverage in place, quoting and binding coverage, and cross- and up-selling additional coverage where possible
  • Selling brokerage services to achieve target revenue and activity quotas
  • Conducting regular review meetings with existing clients to service and identify opportunities for new prospecting activities
  • Maintaining a highly technical and service-oriented relationship with clients & underwriters
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with insurers to ensure clients receive favourable pricing and claims handling and to develop new products
  • Attending client (prospective & existing), insurer, and industry functions to build networks and identify new business streams
  • Referring business opportunities outside specialty area to other Axis Account Executives
  • Preparing annual business plan with projected sales goals, strategies, obstacles, and areas for growth
  • Attending regular Personal Lines Growth Group meetings
  • Attending networking events and sources external leads
