About The Position

The Cashier II is a key member of the store team, primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests. The role includes processing customer transactions, maintaining food and beverage areas, assisting with product receiving and merchandising, and supporting the training of lower-level cashiers. The employee works in a customer-focused travel center environment and may perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Computer/POS knowledge is required.
Cash handling skills are required.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to perform the listed work with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of cashier experience preferred.
Merchandising or stocking experience preferred.
Dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of the team.

Responsibilities

Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
Process customer transactions on a point-of-sale (POS) register.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
Assist with receiving and unloading products.
Stock and organize merchandise on planograms.
Assist with training lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities.
Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
