Pit Loader Operator
About The Position
The Pit Loader Operator works in Heidelberg Materials’ Aggregates line of business. The role operates a pit loader to move raw materials, load and transport materials to designated areas, and perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance. The operator communicates with team members and supervisors and follows safety protocols and environmental regulations. Work takes place primarily around moving mechanical equipment and may involve inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Candidates must complete a post-offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong awareness of safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in demanding outdoor conditions.
- Commitment to maintaining equipment and reporting issues promptly.
