About The Position

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position on the 3rd shift. The primary responsibility is to clean production rooms and equipment, including mixing tanks, kettles, hold tanks, pick systems, pumps, drains, and pipes. The role also involves operating a scissor lift and working in various environmental conditions. The company is a family-owned business specializing in custom sauces, seasonings, and dry coating systems for various food industries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer
  • Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
  • Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
  • Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and hear
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Follows policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Cleans production rooms and equipment
  • Cleans, inspects, disassembles and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, hold tanks, pick system, pumps, drains, pipes, and other various equipment
  • Operate scissor lift
  • Work in hot, cold, and wet environments
  • Observes safety and security procedures
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Uses equipment and materials properly
  • Asks for and offers help when needed
