About The Position

The Mixer position is a 3rd shift role in a Bakery Plant, operating from 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM. The role involves ensuring the blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems, following recipe specifications for time and temperature, and operating, maintaining, and shutting down production processing equipment. The position also requires scaling minor ingredients, maintaining computer-related equipment or control panels for automated machinery, and reporting to the line Team Lead. Overtime may be required to meet production and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

3 months of experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment
Experience working in an automated machinery environment (with PLCs or MMIs)
Experience work in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment
Proficiency in SAP
Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty.
Ability to lift or push 50+ lbs
Ability to read recipes to mix correct ingredients.
Ability to manually transport packaging bags & containers
Ability to stand up to twelve (12) hours

Responsibilities

Exhibit behaviors that support quality work processes, including documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples.
Ensure the blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems.
Follow and document time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards.
Start-up, operate, maintain production processing equipment, and perform shut-down procedures.
Scale minor ingredients by weight, count, or bulk flow meters into bins or mixing equipment according to company-issued recipes.
Maintain computer-related equipment or control panels to operate automated machinery.
Report to the line Team Lead.
Work overtime to achieve production and maintenance schedules.
