About The Position

Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This intermediate-level role involves fabricating and installing piping, assembling components, and installing equipment and supports. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, at heights and in confined spaces, and meeting all physical requirements. Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required based on workload.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent, with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
Must have all required tools.
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, which may exceed 200 feet.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

Read isometric drawings, take measurements, and efficiently fabricate and install piping.
Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products to secure them for welding.
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints.
Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation, and install items in accordance with applicable plans and specifications.
Distinguish varying thicknesses and types of metal materials.
Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment.
Operate beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and a Saw-Zall.
Lay out and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
Hydrotest piping systems.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules, and perform other duties as required.
