About The Position
AR Utilities & Excavation LLC is seeking dependable, hardworking Pipe Layers for underground utility construction crews serving San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. The company installs underground water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and fire protection systems for commercial and civil construction projects. Previous underground utility construction experience is preferred. The role suits individuals familiar with pipe installation who enjoy outdoor work and take pride in their work. This is a full-time, year-round position with competitive pay based on experience. Training opportunities include OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification, excavation and trench safety, confined-space safety, equipment operation, and advanced pipe installation. Requirements
- Previous pipe-laying or underground utility construction experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of pipe installation, grades, and elevations.
- Experience using hand tools and construction equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to designated jobsites.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Install underground water, sewer, storm drainage, and fire protection piping.
- Assist with laying, aligning, and connecting PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, and concrete pipe.
- Install fittings, valves, fire hydrants, manholes, and other utility structures.
- Prepare trenches and install pipe bedding materials.
- Use pipe lasers, levels, and grade rods to maintain proper pipe grades and elevations.
- Assist with backfilling, compaction, and general construction activities.
- Work alongside equipment operators and other crew members to maintain daily production.
- Follow company safety policies and excavation safety procedures.
