About The Position
Trinity Grading, a California-based grading and wet utility contractor, is seeking experienced Wet Utility Pipelayers. The company has been in business for more than 60 years and is experiencing growth. Pipelayers help plan and execute wet utility work, with an emphasis on organized, professional workmanship and safety. The role includes interpreting plans and specifications, installing and inspecting pipe and fittings, and coordinating daily jobsite needs. Trinity is a drug-free workplace and follows federal and DOT rules prohibiting marijuana use.
Requirements
- Experience as a wet utility pipelayer.
- Ability to understand plans and specifications and OSHA and company safety policies.
- Ability to calculate percentages and volumes.
- Ability to install pipe, fittings, and joints and grade a trench line.
Responsibilities
- Understand plans and specifications, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies.
- Install pipes without leaks and in a straight, safe, and productive manner.
- Calculate percentages and volumes.
- Quality-control pipe installations.
- Inventory materials.
- Set up a sloping laser and grade a trench line.
- Install and bolt up fittings and joint types.
- Achieve daily goals and detail needs for the next day.
- Manage top-of-ditch labor and keep the jobsite organized.
