About The Position

This position performs heavy physical duties across a variety of construction tasks that are generally unskilled or semi-skilled. Duties vary based on the crew’s assigned work. A laborer may specialize within a crew, including as a pipe layer on a pipe crew. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience on construction sites.
• GED or high school diploma, or related work experience.
• Valid driver's license.

• Trade school experience.

Responsibilities

• Dig, spread, and move dirt and gravel using a pick and/or shovel.
• Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Clean tools, materials, and work areas.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools.
• Perform manual tasks including pipe assembly, pipe cutting and laying, and removing forms from set concrete.
• Take layout shots.
• Direct equipment operators on cuts and fills.
