The Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) offers a hybrid, full-time Summer 2027 internship for a graduate student through the PILI Graduate Fellowship program. CDEL provides training and supervision. Interns are anticipated to work both in-office and remotely, with possible opportunities to participate in community clinics, workshops, the guardianship help desk, and the recorder’s division help desk, subject to health and safety recommendations. The internship is unpaid by CDEL; funding is available directly through the PILI Graduate Fellowship program. Applicants must apply first with PILI. Interns manage cases and a client caseload under supervision and participate in all aspects of client files, including screening, intake, document review, and full representation. The internship provides experience in estate planning, guardianship, housing, collections, financial abuse, and family law, as well as interviewing candidates for service, document review, direct legal assistance, and litigation under supervision. CDEL is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from underrepresented and marginalized communities. Applications are reviewed as they are received.
