About The Position

The Culver Academies Fellowship Program offers recent college graduates an opportunity to explore career opportunities at an independent boarding school. The program focuses primarily on candidates interested in teaching, with additional Fellowships in areas such as wellness, communications, technology, and athletics. Through apprenticeships, Fellows gain knowledge and experience for careers in independent secondary schools, as well as work experience applicable to other fields.

Fellows participate fully in Academy life under the direction of mentor teachers, counselors, and coaches. Mentors introduce Fellows to teaching and coaching methodologies, classroom management, group dynamics, and parent/student relationships. Fellows work in their chosen academic field and assist with extracurricular activities, including student athletic teams or the Fine Arts program. Fellows live in furnished dormitory apartments and take on duties that help make them an integral part of the residential community.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Fellow’s chosen academic field.
• Assist with extracurricular activities, including student athletic teams or the Fine Arts program.
• Participate in the life of the Academies under the direction of mentor teachers, counselors, and coaches.
• Assume duties that contribute to the residential community.
