About The Position

The 2027–28 Fellowship Program at Culver Academies provides recent college graduates with an opportunity to explore careers at an independent boarding school. Although the program primarily serves those interested in teaching, fellowships are also available in areas such as wellness, communications, technology, and athletics. Fellows gain practical experience and knowledge for careers in independent secondary schools, as well as work experience applicable to other fields. Fellows participate fully in Academies life under the direction of mentor teachers, counselors, and coaches. Mentors introduce them to teaching and coaching methods, classroom management, group dynamics, and parent and student relationships. Fellows work in their chosen academic or other field and assist with extracurricular activities, including student athletic teams or the Fine Arts program. They also live in furnished dormitory apartments and take on duties that make them an integral part of the residential community.
