2027 Graduate Engineering Program

Doncasters•Long Beach, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

Doncasters is hiring recent engineering graduates and candidates completing an engineering degree by Summer 2027 for its structured 12–24 month Graduate Development Program. The program provides hands-on experience, technical development, mentoring, and cross-functional and cross-site exposure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Opportunities are available in Groton, Connecticut; Oxford, Alabama; and Long Beach, California. The schedule is 40 hours per week, and salary varies by geographical location and specialty. The program includes opportunities in several early-career engineering roles supporting aerospace investment casting operations. Graduate Product / Process Engineers support process monitoring and control, production, maintenance, tooling, process methods, and yield improvement, while learning how manufacturing processes and products affect upstream and downstream operations. Graduate Ceramics Engineers develop and control ceramic molds, manage slurry chemistry and mold-production variables, and contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Graduate Metallurgists support metallurgical laboratory work, material testing, certification review, and evaluation of alloys, cast components, and other materials against specifications and quality standards. Participants initially work alongside experienced mentors or subject matter experts, building the technical knowledge and practical skills to take ownership of assigned responsibilities and progress toward independent performance. The program also offers cross-site experience with different teams, products, and manufacturing environments.
