About The Position

Sealevel Construction, Inc. is seeking a Pile Driver to join their team. This role involves the safe installation of various types of piles according to project specifications. The Pile Driver will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, reading project plans, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of pile installations. Requirements

  • Reads and interprets project plans, drawings, specifications, and pile-driving requirements.
  • Inspects equipment, tools, rigging, and wokr areas before beginning operations.
  • Sets up, assembles, and dismantels pile-driving equipment and associated components.
  • Operates cranes and other heavy equipment as qualified and directed.
  • Monitors pile alignment, depth, location, and installation to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Works closely and maintains communication with crew members, operators, foremen, surveyors, and Project Managers.
  • Uses hand and power tools to assist with pipe prepation, cutting, splicing, welding, and installation as required.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or potential hazards to supervision.
  • Operates equipment on public roadways as necessary, maintaining proper awareness of one’s surroundings.
  • Performs routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with pipe piles, sheet piles, h-piles, and concrete piles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental program.
  • Safely installs steel, concrete, timber, sheet, pipe, and other types of piles in accordance with project specifications.
  • Assists with the layout, positioning, aligment, and installation of piles.
