About The Position

Rowan’s Piercing Studio Nurse reports to the Studio Manager and provides customers with safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experiences. The nurse uses clinical expertise to perform piercings with care and precision while creating a celebratory atmosphere and building customer trust. The role includes communicating with customers throughout the piercing experience, evaluating ears and recommending placement, providing styling advice, and educating customers about aftercare.

The nurse maintains a sterile and aseptic work environment, follows applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines, and sterilizes jewelry and piercing instruments. The position also supports studio operations by stocking supplies, collaborating with the Studio Manager and team, and potentially mentoring and training new nurses. Nurses help support studio metrics, including revenue, service efficiency, average order value, and sales.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license.

Responsibilities

• Create memorable customer experiences by combining clinical care with a celebratory atmosphere during piercing sessions.
• Ensure customer safety and comfort and maintain a smooth flow of care.
• Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with customers throughout their piercing experience.
• Help customers feel comfortable and address concerns to support a relaxed piercing experience.
• Educate customers about aftercare and Rowan After Care to support healing and well-being.
• Evaluate customers’ ears to identify suitable earring placement and offer personalized styling advice.
• Monitor customer experience and promptly address issues to maintain Rowan’s clinical piercing standards.
• Maintain a sterile and aseptic environment at the nurse station and procedure tray; clean and sanitize surfaces, instruments, and supplies.
• Apply knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention when providing piercing services.
• Collaborate with the Studio Manager to support studio operations and a joyful atmosphere.
• Fill shifts as needed and, potentially, mentor and train new nurses on Rowan’s Clinical Piercing Standards.
• Report issues that may affect customer experience to management and collaborate on resolutions.
• Keep piercing stations and related areas, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, stocked and ready.
• Sterilize jewelry and needle-piercing instruments.
• Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines for sanitary and safe services.
• Support studio metrics, including revenue growth, piercing-service efficiency, average order value, and sales.
• Educate customers about Rowan After Care and the benefits of purchasing an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry.
• Escalate operational concerns and communicate with management and team members to implement solutions.
