About The Position

Industrial Supply is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Picking Team Lead for its Salt Lake City warehouse. The role oversees daily picking operations to ensure orders are accurate, productivity goals are met, and the team works safely and efficiently. The lead provides direction and support to team members and works with warehouse leadership and other leads and managers to keep operations running smoothly. Duties may change based on business needs.

Requirements

Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate employees and maintain productivity and quality standards.
Dependability, a strong attendance record, and a team-first attitude.
Comfort using computers, warehouse management systems, and handheld scanners.
Experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, or the ability to obtain required certifications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead and support daily warehouse picking operations to complete orders accurately and on time.
Monitor order flow, including unacknowledged and on-hold orders, and resolve processing delays.
Ensure orders are picked with the correct products, quantities, and units of measure.
Provide direction, assign responsibilities, and coordinate team coverage.
Track productivity, quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Train, coach, and develop team members to improve accuracy, efficiency, and performance.
Work with warehouse leadership to address performance concerns, complete reviews, and establish team goals.
Encourage teamwork, recognize achievements, and promote continuous improvement.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and handheld scanners.
Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful work environment.
Collaborate with other team leads and managers to support overall warehouse operations.
