About The Position

Fastenal is hiring an entry-level, part-time Picking employee at its distribution center in Madison, Mississippi. The role helps move products from the distribution center to company-owned branches. Employees pick requested quantities for branch orders, pack products, print routing labels, and move products to the next department by hand or with a pallet jack or forklift. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and training are completed and performance goals are met.

Requirements

Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.
Demonstrate the company’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen where applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
