About The Position

Ideal Sushi Supply started in 2017 as the distribution wing of our affiliated Momiji Sushi Bar and Restaurants, which are located all around Oregon. Since then, we have branched out and now proudly serve a vast number of restaurants in our community. We are currently in the process of moving from our 5,000 sq ft warehouse to a 20,000 sq ft warehouse to accommodate our growth. Requirements

Knowledge of products being housed and how to house and pack them properly.
Industry knowledge and background in general warehouse or inventory departments.
Must be forklift certified or have the ability to become forklift certified.
Working knowledge of the warehouse, and company and how all the locations and departments function in relation to each other.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze large sets of data.
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep a fast tempo.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including, forklift, pallet jack, computer, office equipment, telephone and calculator.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and reach with items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to walk around the warehouse and stand or walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to withstand extreme hot or cold present in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Pulling items that have been ordered from a list and packing them together for shipment or delivery.
Ensuring all items are accounted for per order in a timely manner.
Occasionally making deliveries or pickups.
Assisting in receiving and checking in, and signing off on incoming and outgoing products.
Keeping products separated, organized and in good rotation.
Communicating with the Inventory, Sales and Purchasing departments regarding low or excess stock items as needed.
Performing quality control checks on stored inventory that does not meet company standards and reporting those issues appropriately.
Reading and understanding purchase orders and invoices.
Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, or damaged items.
Creating and updating databases and records or other data as needed.
Providing logistical support to warehouse staff and operations.
Following all safety policies and procedures.
Assisting colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so.
Ensuring the accuracy of the organizations files and documents.
Maintaining the accuracy of historical data and records.
Acting as a backup driver and making occasional deliveries and or pickups.
Obeying all federal, state and local traffic laws and regulations.
Following all safety and driving policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse staff as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
