About The Position

Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach part-time in person at Schaumburg Music Academy in Schaumburg, Illinois. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours; consistent scheduling is appreciated by students and staff. The instructor will teach students in a fun, personalized, professional, positive, and welcoming music-education environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience; a love of teaching; experience working with young musicians; punctuality; reliable transportation; and the ability to pass a routine background check. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $25 to $30 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job, and health benefit options are available to part-time and full-time employees.

Schaumburg Music Academy was founded in 1973 and serves more than 200 weekly students, teaching voice, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and other instruments. Ensemble Music Schools supports its community-driven schools through shared resources, professional development, administrative support, and marketing resources intended to support steady growth in students and teaching hours. Requirements
