About The Position
Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional brass teacher to teach part-time in person at Schaumburg Music Academy in Schaumburg, Illinois. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours, though consistent scheduling is appreciated by students and staff. The instructor pay range is $25–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job, and health benefit options are available to part-time and full-time employees. Schaumburg Music Academy, founded in 1973, provides fun, personalized, and professional music education to students of all skill levels in a positive and welcoming environment. It has more than 200 weekly students and teaches voice, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and other instruments. Ensemble Music Schools supports community-driven music and dance schools by sharing resources and administration while preserving each school’s individual identity. Requirements
- Strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
