About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking an educator skilled in piano who can teach and inspire students. The Piano Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, builds positive relationships with students and parents through communication and progress updates, and partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role pays $16.90 per hour for non-teaching work and $10–$20 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Eligible musician employees may take gig leave to perform and return to their jobs afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.
Nice To Haves
- Further teaching experience with voice or related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
