About The Position

Vituity is seeking a Hospital Medicine Physician to provide care at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, California. Physicians join Vituity’s physician-owned partnership, which offers autonomy, local control, financial transparency, peer support, and opportunities for career development. The site is a 358-bed facility with a 22-bed open ICU and annual volume of more than 68,500. Hospitalists see 14–16 encounters per day, while nocturnists see 8–10 encounters per night. Procedures and ventilator management are not required, and an in-house intensivist is available. The hospital has received the America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award™ and Critical Care Excellence Award™. Vituity staffs the Critical Care and Anesthesiology departments, offering integrated care solutions at the site. The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Vituity physicians participate in the partnership model from day one, including profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages. Total compensation varies by site and may exceed the stated range. The role is based in San Jose, a city with a diverse community, cultural attractions, outdoor recreation, and a Mediterranean climate.

Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
