About The Position

Physicians provide clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise, with patient care as the highest priority. This role practices hospital medicine and provides care in inpatient settings, documents clinical care, and completes the documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions. The physician maintains licensure and board certification through required continuing medical education, performs other duties as assigned, and complies with Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Requirements

• MD, DO, DMD, or DDS degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Completion of the residency training required for the specialty.
• Certified or qualified for certification by the respective specialty board.
• Previous practice experience in a residency training program.
• Skills commensurate with the given specialty.
• Proof of competency for the clinical skills applied for.

Nice To Haves

• Prior practice experience in lieu of residency training.

Responsibilities
