About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our team in the Joplin, Missouri area. We offer flexible scheduling options, including full-time and part-time roles, in a collaborative and modern clinical environment. As a Physician at Mercy-GoHealth, you’ll independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including examining and treating patients with acute conditions, taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests, making diagnoses and prescribing medications, performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations, documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care, and supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support. Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license
• 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
• Experience treating patients across all age groups
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Responsibilities

• Independently provide a wide range of clinical services
• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
