About The Position

Physicians provide clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise. Patient care is the highest priority in the WellStar Health System. This position practices medicine in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, or both, and includes documenting clinical care and completing documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions. Physicians must complete continuing medical education required to maintain licensure and board certification, perform other duties as assigned, and comply with WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Completion of the residency training required for the specialty.
• Certified or qualified for certification by the respective specialty board.
• Previous practice experience in a residency training program.
• Skills commensurate with the physician’s specialty.
• Proof of competency for the clinical skills applied for.

Nice To Haves

• Prior practice experience in lieu of residency training.
