About The Position
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a primary care physician for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The physician will practice in an outpatient setting at the Waynesburg Outpatient Center in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. This is an established practice with experienced partners and support, offering primary care in a small-town setting with the resources of a large health system. The Waynesburg clinic is a 15,000-square-foot facility with 30 exam rooms and six procedure rooms. It provides access to medical specialists and advanced medical technology in the region. The position is with University Health Associates, part of the West Virginia University Health System.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for a state medical license.
- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics.
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
- For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required.
