About The Position
TeamHealth is seeking a full-time, internal medicine-trained physician to join its established hospital medicine program at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas. The 522-bed hospital has a closed ICU. The position follows a block schedule of seven days on and seven days off. Daytime clinicians see an average daily census of 17–22 patients, including 1–2 admissions. Physicians respond to and run codes for their own patients but are not part of the hospital’s code team. Procedures are not required, though physicians may perform them if credentialed. The Hendrick System uses All-Scripts as its EMR. The program is supported by nine day-shift physicians, one day-shift APC, one swing-shift physician, one swing-shift APC, one nocturnist physician, and two nocturnist APCs.
