About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Vascular Surgeon at a community hospital. The role involves daily inpatient rounding and 24-hour call responsibilities, with PA support for after-hours calls. The physician will provide postoperative care, perform emergency vascular surgeries, and handle consults and referrals. The position is 100% inpatient care, serving adult and geriatric populations, with an average daily patient volume of 2 to 4 patients. The facility is an acute care hospital, not a trauma designation. Credentialing is estimated to take less than 2 weeks due to an urgent need, and temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery
• Active Ohio Medical License
• ACLS Certification
• DEA Certification
• Clean background, no malpractice or licensing issues
• Availability for the specified dates (August 7, 2026, 7:00 AM to August 10, 2026, 7:00 AM)

Responsibilities

• Postoperative care for various vascular surgery cases.
• Performing emergency vascular surgeries.
• Handling consults and referrals from the Emergency Department and other hospital providers.
• Daily inpatient rounding.
