Locum - Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to provide locum coverage. This role involves providing 24-hour on-call emergency services, with a preferred callback window of 2-4 hours. The position requires proficiency in a wide range of orthopedic surgical interventions, including trauma management, hip nailing, fracture and dislocation treatment, amputation procedures, correction of bone and joint deformities, tumors, and total joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder). Spinal surgery capabilities are also necessary, covering both instrumentation and non-instrumentation approaches for cervical, lumbar, and thoracic regions. Proficiency in arthroscopy is essential. The patient demographic includes adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Experience with the EPIC EMR system is required.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Orthopedics required.
- Active Kentucky Medical License (IMLC accepted).
- Current DEA registration essential.
- Demonstrated experience in general and specific orthopedic surgical and non-surgical procedures is a must.
- Experience in hip and knee replacement techniques.
- Proficiency in arthroscopy.
- Skills in hip and knee repair or revision.
- Clean background check is mandatory.
- Availability for the specified dates is essential.
- Proficiency in performing hip nailing procedures.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities
- Perform hip nailing procedures.
