About The Position

St Alexius is seeking a locum Orthopedic Physician for coverage from June 26th (7 am) to July 7th (7 am). The role involves treating and managing orthopedic patients in the ER, including performing orthopedic OR procedures, stabilizations, and splinting. The physician will be on 24-hour call, with an average of 2-5 patients per day, though this number may increase due to community events. Cases typically involve trauma, fractures, dislocations, sprains, strains, and tendon ruptures. The facility uses Meditech and Allscripts EMR systems, and ER and OR staff will provide support.

Requirements

• Board Certification (BC) - Highly Preferred, Board Eligible (BE) - Required
• ND State License - Highly Preferred, IMLC - Required
• BLS, ACLS - Required
• DEA - Highly preferred during credentialing
• Clean Malpractice history - Highly preferred
• A Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date. - REQUIRED
