About The Position

The Physician Services Coordinator serves as the internal primary contact for all service lines provided by Altais to their physicians. This role supports day-to-day administrative operations and provides exceptional physician service to network physicians and office staff. The coordinator assists and monitors physician participation from the point of entry throughout their tenure with Altais. This includes advocating internally and externally on current and future products, services, and operational processes; actively and positively promoting Altais’ overall strategic goals, core values, and communications; and supporting the development, maintenance, and overall enhancement of relationships with Altais physicians and their staff. The role also serves as the primary patient portal representative, ensuring a smooth transition for physicians and office staff. The coordinator will focus on positively supporting organizational and departmental strategies and goals, promoting outstanding physician service, and fostering positive relations with physicians and office staff. They will act as an internal and external liaison and resource, representing the Altais Physician Services Department and resolving challenges in an expedited manner. The coordinator will work independently with internal departments to communicate challenges and deficiencies on behalf of the physician network and expedite resolution, escalating challenges to direct supervisors or appropriate departments as needed. They will utilize and apply Altais’s systems, policies, and procedures and tracking tools to ensure challenges are resolved and tracked efficiently and timely. The role serves as the first contact for physician network support for Altais’s electronic network tools, deploying EpicLink and the Provider Engagement Portal to contracted Altais offices, and providing education, training, and day-to-day support. The coordinator will participate in and represent Physician Services in multi-department workgroups for problem-solving and resolution (access, quality of care, claims issues), and will be responsible for documentation, communication, tracking/trending, and completion of tasks for Physician Services. As new physicians are recruited, the coordinator will support internal departments with onboarding new physicians and staff, assisting with account set-ups, agreements, and paperwork to ensure best practice utilization with Altais products, e-tools, tools, and services. They will facilitate, support, and complete administrative tasks associated with physician and office staff requests, and identify, track, and trend physicians, staff, and/or practices that are entering, retiring, or relocating from Altais. The coordinator will schedule and facilitate internal and external meetings to ensure relevant issues are discussed and resolved, promote positive relationships between Providers and Altais, attend relevant meetings, develop and manage work plans, track and report trends, issue accurate minutes, and facilitate appropriate follow-up. They will educate physician practices regarding new and existing policies and procedures, including medical management review processes, claims payment policies and processes, and clinical coding policies and processes. The coordinator will review and understand existing policies to ensure maximum compliance, troubleshoot issues raised by providers, and distribute any needed materials, identifying non-compliant providers and providers with member complaints. They will develop and maintain knowledge of Altais’s services and product line offerings and perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience of 4 years working in direct managed health care administration or Physician office administration
  • 2-3 years of Patient and Physician portals and EMH or EMR system experience

Responsibilities

  • Escalate challenges to direct supervisor or appropriate department.
