The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking well-rounded, diagnostic radiologists (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank) to join their rapidly expanding academic imaging team. The academic practice has a long-standing, collegial relationship with the nearby Veterans Administration hospital and the primary responsibility of the successful applicant will be to provide general diagnostic imaging coverage for this site. This role offers no call or evenings, a 6-day clinical work week (M-F 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM), followed by 8 days off. There are leadership opportunities in a growing academic department with rapidly expanding community radiology coverage. The position involves active involvement in the diagnostic radiology residency program by teaching residents and medical students. The practice highlights include engaging community radiology work with a diverse and academically stimulating case mix, reasonable daily imaging volumes of 80-120 total cases (30-40 CTs/MRIs), and working with a dedicated team of fellowship-trained radiologists, nurses, and specialized technologists. No IR procedures, PET/nuclear medicine, or mammography are required for this opportunity.
