About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Physician specializing in Pulmonary medicine. This role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care in both office settings and through hospital rounding. The physician will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), prescribing medication or therapy, recommending lifestyle changes, explaining medical procedures and test results, consulting with other doctors, participating in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics, serving on hospital committees, and contributing to business development and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the physician practice environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board eligible
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to ECW, Cerner
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time.
  • Be flexible enough to twist, bend lift assist, transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Perform CPR and patient assessments.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements.
  • In-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Explain test results and provide patients with plan of care details.
  • Consult with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs.
  • Participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics.
  • Serve on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested.
  • Seek to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the business.
