About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a physician for Pulmonary /Sleep. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Uniontown, PA, focusing on Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical interest should include obstructive airways disease, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep, infectious lung disease or cystic fibrosis. The West Virginia University Health System is the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprising 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. It also includes five institutes and provides management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed internal medicine residency.
  • Completed pulmonary and sleep fellowship program.
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary/Sleep medicine.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical interest in obstructive airways disease, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep, infectious lung disease or cystic fibrosis.
