About The Position

Ochsner Rush Health, based in Meridian, MS, is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician to help grow their program. The health system has an extensive network of 30 primary care clinics and 5 critical access hospitals throughout East Central Mississippi and West Alabama, serving as a large referral base. The position offers a mix of Pulmonary and Critical Care, with opportunities for EBUS and more procedures in the future. The facility features a 23-bed closed ICU, with 11 ICU beds in the Long-term Acute-Care Hospital. Alternate coverage is provided between the Pulmonology outpatient clinic and the ICU. Telemedicine and EBUS are available, with Navigational Bronchoscopy planned. The referral area is large, covering 8 counties with a patient base of 350,000. An Adult Hospitalist Program has been in place for over 20 years. The system utilizes the EPIC EHR system. The administration is described as new and young, directly supporting physicians. The system has grown rapidly, adding over 30 new physicians in the last two years. Teaching opportunities are available with the local family medicine residency program, and the hospital sponsors J1 waivers.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician.
• Willingness to perform EBUS procedures.
• Ability to work in a hospital-employed setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Navigational Bronchoscopy (coming soon).

Responsibilities

• Provide a mix of Pulmonary and Critical Care services.
