Physician - Primary Care
About The Position
The Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide services in an ambulatory care setting. The physician will see patients for general medicine problems, perform history and physical exams, make electronic progress notes, schedule return visits, write orders for lab and x-ray, and prescribe medications. The role also includes participation in quality management activities, routine administrative duties, clinical conferences, and medical staff meetings. All medical documentation must be entered and electronically signed in the Computerized Patient Records Systems (CPRS).
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of Columbia
- Current certification in Basic Life Support certification by the American Heart Association
