About The Position

The Primary Care Physician will diagnose medical conditions and order appropriate laboratory tests, imaging studies (e.g., X-rays), and other diagnostic procedures as needed. They will analyze clinical data, develop therapeutic programs, and communicate information effectively to patients and their families. The role involves following up on treatment plans and monitoring patient progress, recognizing the need for referral to a mental health professional when necessary, and consulting independently with medical and surgical specialists to discuss patient care. The Primary Care Physician will prescribe medications and treatment therapies in coordination with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare personnel. Some travel to surrounding community-based outpatient clinics may be required based on a rotating schedule. Responsibilities include collaborating with other agencies or health facilities on behalf of patients and their families to arrange admissions to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, and organizing emergency ground and/or air medical transport as required.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine with an MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Family Practice.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Travel to surrounding community-based outpatient clinics based on a rotating schedule.
• Collaborate with other agencies or health facilities on behalf of patients and their families to arrange admissions to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing facilities.
• Organize emergency ground and/or air medical transport as required.
