About The Position

Northside Hospital is seeking a Physician Practice Coordinator to administer and coordinate the operations of an assigned physician practice in collaboration with hospital leadership. The role is responsible for day-to-day practice operations and employee supervision, supporting clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety, service excellence, and customer satisfaction. The coordinator oversees practice services, including patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, procedures, and other functions, and ensures compliance with departmental operational throughput goals. Practice Coordinator I, II, and III share this job description; the level is assigned according to a score based on the scope data for the physician practice.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education, or one year of work experience.
• At least three years of leadership experience in business, nursing, or a healthcare-related field; alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of leadership experience in business, nursing, or a healthcare-related field.
• LPN or RN licensure is required if the candidate is an LPN or RN.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Physician practice or other ambulatory care setting management experience.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience implementing and maintaining an electronic medical record.

Responsibilities
