About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and join a growing Division of Pediatric Cardiology. This role supports patients on the Children's Hospital campus and throughout the state via an outreach program that includes clinics and telemedicine. The division has specialists in various areas of pediatric cardiology, including interventional catheterization, and collaborates with a robust Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery program. The position also involves teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible to obtain a state medical license.
  • Board certified / eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in all areas of Pediatric Interventional Cardiology.
  • Participate in both General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
