About The Position

Sutter Medical Group seeks to hire a highly qualified and passionate Medical Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Director to lead and oversee the clinical and strategic direction of our pediatric hematology and oncology program while maintains an active clinical practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine visionary leadership with hands-on patient care and engagement. Practice Highlights Leadership & Program Oversight: Serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Program, providing strategic and clinical leadership to advance program goals and quality standards. Oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hematology/oncology optimize program efficiency and patient outcomes. Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the pediatric hematology/oncology program. Represent the program at institutional and external meetings, conferences, and collaborative initiatives. Clinical Practice: Provide direct patient care, with a clinical focus in pediatric hematology/oncology. Maintain an active outpatient and inpatient clinical schedule, with responsibilities proportioned to accommodate leadership duties. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, tumor boards, and clinical rounds. Support and mentor advanced practice providers, junior physicians and APCs in clinical settings.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Board Eligibility for medical licensure in California.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship clinical and/or leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership in clinical program development, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong commitment to medicine, clinical research, and teaching.
