Requirements
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana.
- Completion of a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat pediatric patients in the emergency room.
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral.
- Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients family concerning treatment and care of patients.
- Refer cases that require specialist services.
