About The Position
Join the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. We are seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join (Assistant or Associate Professor) our elite pediatric emergency team. The department is staffed by pediatric emergency medicine specialists, pediatricians with many years of experience in pediatric emergency medicine, a nurse practitioner, a clinical pharmacy specialist and pediatric nurses with most certified in Pediatric Emergency medicine. The facility features twenty single-bed patient care rooms and two additional resuscitation bays. The role involves providing family-centered, compassionate and high-quality care to children from birth to 21 years of age with multisystem illness and trauma. The department has full service general pediatric beds and a separate pediatric emergency unit operating 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or dually trained and Board Certified in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine
- Established excellence in teaching, administration, patient care, and/or independently funded research
- Demonstrate excellence as a clinician-educator
