About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Lincoln Medical Center is a Level I Trauma and Stroke Center with Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties. The hospital has a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University. The mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to provide comprehensive health services of the highest quality to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity, and respect, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay. This role involves caring for a diverse pediatric population in a high-volume Pediatric Emergency Department, with access to a 12-bed Pediatric ED, Pediatric ICU, and full subspecialty support. The position offers an academic environment with a faculty appointment through Weill Medical College of Cornell University, opportunities for teaching, and engagement in simulation training, pediatric resuscitation, and multidisciplinary case conferences. A collaborative care model is utilized, working closely with pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and subspecialists. The role serves a vibrant and underserved community in the South Bronx, addressing acute and complex pediatric health needs, with opportunities for career growth in leadership, research, and program development.

Requirements

  • Board Eligibility and/or Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine
  • NYS Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Care for a diverse pediatric population in one of New York City’s busiest Emergency Departments.
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric services, including in a 12-bed Pediatric ED and Pediatric ICU.
  • Engage in simulation training, pediatric resuscitation, and multidisciplinary case conferences.
  • Work closely with pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and subspecialists to deliver seamless, family-centered care.
  • Serve a vibrant and underserved community in the South Bronx, addressing both acute and complex pediatric health needs.
  • Teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Contribute to research and program development.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $284,678 (Board Eligible) / $290,063 (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
