About The Position

Deaconess Specialty Physicians is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Trauma Physician to join our team in Evansville, IN. This position offers a guaranteed salary of $850,000 for one year and a $65,000 sign-on bonus. Primary Responsibilities: Trauma Surgery Provide dedicated orthopedic trauma coverage for the Vanderburgh and Warrick County trauma program, including fulfillment of approximately 100 primary trauma service shifts annually in accordance with contractual expectations. Call expectation of 1:4. Establish and maintain an outpatient orthopedic trauma practice to support post-discharge follow-up, fracture care, and longitudinal management of patients treated through the trauma program. Ensure timely inpatient management of orthopedic trauma patients through a coordinated care model that leverages both surgeons and advanced practice providers (APPs). APP staffing and deployment will be optimized to support quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and the long-term sustainability of the trauma program. Position Requirement: Applicants must have or obtain licensure in the states of Kentucky and Indiana to practice. We have a strong relationship with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs within the community. There is an orthopedic urgent care facility that also helps care for patients at their convenience while serving as another referral source.
