About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon providing inpatient call coverage at two campuses: Davenport, IA and Silvis, IL. The role involves performing orthopedic trauma surgeries, managing consults and admissions, and collaborating with support staff. The coverage is call-only, with 24-hour shifts, 7-10 shifts per month. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active IA and IL License; or Active IA or IL License with IMLC; or Active Universal License (IMLC)
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within the month
- Clean Record
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient orthopedic trauma call coverage at Davenport and Silvis campuses
- Perform orthopedic trauma surgeries and same-day add-on procedures
- Respond to pages and be available within 30 minutes while on call
- Manage orthopedic trauma consults and admissions
- Collaborate with nursing and APP support in the OR
